A team of experts for each project
Claire Contamine, independant consultant since 2005, specialises in communications advice, media and public relations for businesses and the preservation and promotion boards for various industries. Surrounded by a team of talented partners – photographers, graphic designers, brand ambassadors, event creators, community managers, web designers and partner agencies from all over the world – she coordinates every project, designing and managing customised communication plans in conjunction with management teams.
Claire’s mission: to put in place sustainable growth drivers; to develop close links with a company’s various stakeholders – customers, prescribers, influencers and the public sphere; and to anticipate and prepare for media crises.
A career dedicated to communications
In 1996, Claire Contamine created the press service of one of the leading interprofessional wine bodies in France, the BIVB (Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne) in Beaune. For 7 years she coordinated the Burgundy wine growers’ and wine merchants’ annual press and public relations programmes across 12 countries, from New York to Tokyo, London, Geneva and Berlin.
In France, she supervised relationships with wine journalists and the economic press for the Burgundy wine industry, presenting the vintages and annual results, to coincide with the famous Hospices de Beaune wine sale. In 2005, she decided to create her own agency. Claire’s aim: to continue promoting the world of wine and spirits, and more broadly French luxury and French art of living, while at the same time using her networks and expertise to address complex problems:
- industry and sustainable development,
- crisis in the construction material sector,
- the reach and influence of digital art,
- issues concerning digital education for all,
- employment issues in private medical practice,
- image and brand awraness in the luxury sector…
Born in Moulins (03) in Bourbonnais – the region famous for the oaks in Tronçais Forest, used throughout the world to make the finest wine and spirit barrels – Claire Contamine is a graduate of EFAP Paris (a leading communication studies school) achieving a Masters in communication, and has a master’s degree in international wine from the Burgundy CFPPA in Beaune, as well as degree in applied foreign languages. She also holds the WSET Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits from the prestigious English school of wine, Plumpton College in Brighton. Three years spent in the remarkable environment of the Pommery Champagnes wine estate in Reims, then at the Bureau de Recherches
Géologiques et Minières (BRGM, Geological and Mining Research Bureau) in Orléans, were the beginnings of a career path marked out by curiosity, an interest in heritage and a taste for the art of living. A confirmed jazz lover, Claire Contamine cofounded the Beaune Jazz Festival through the La Jazzerie association.
